The first band THE HEAVY PRESS caught was Fire and Sound. These guys managed to charm the young ladies with their catchy as hell songs. They had girls dancing at the front and singing along to every song including “Candy Bar”.
Up next was Crystalyne who made themselves known by recently opening up for Marianas Trench at the General Motors Centre in Oshawa. By this point the venue was starting to get busier and you could tell that a lot of fans were at the show for these guys.
The band played “Empty Space” a cover from The Story So Far, along with songs off of their latest EP “Navigate” which they were selling at the show.
Up next was Aspire, who celebrated the release of their brand new full length as they strictly played songs off of that release. They thanked fans for helping promote their new video for “W.S.G.F” and their singer Jordan told fans he cried when he saw they had 9000 views in one week (he may have been joking). Aspire’s set was brief and kept fans wanting more.
Up next was Body Doubles, who added a little bit more of a rock feel to the pop-punk themed night. By this point it seemed like the fans in the venue had flipped around into an older crowd.
Body Doubles were fun and sounded awesome, they brought fans to the front of the stage and kept the high levels of energy flowing through the venue.
