On February 27th, 2014; The Toronto Chapter was taken over by the mighty and head bang worthy Zakk Wylde of Black Label Society. All for a night filled with acoustic noodlin’ and piano shredding to be remembered by all.

The SOLD OUT show was full of music lovers of different genres and generations. What seemed like 90% of the venue proudly rocked their BLS merch, paired with a nice cold beer in one hand and a metal horn up in the other. Fans were singing, screaming and roaring as Z-Wylde was welcomed on stage by our National Anthem, followed by Led Zeppelin’s “When The Levee Breaks”- a combination of tunes that will get anyone amped up.

Zakk played big hits right off the bat, including “Blessed Hell Ride” and “Lovin’ Woman”, eyes and ears were locked on the stage. It seemed like almost every track he played incorporated a new solo twist. At some parts, Zakk played 82,400 notes per second. You believe that statistic right? Of couse you do, it’s Zakk Wylde!

Other fan favorites performed included covers of “Heart Of Gold” and “Ain’t No Sunshine”. Fans were also serenaded by hefty originals such as; “In This River” and “Machine Gun Man”. Each and every song and note sounded flawless and hit that deep bluesy switch inside your soul.

All in all, Zakk Wylde’s sweet loving serenades will be remembered by all who attended. Black Label Society are a force that can not be reckoned with, and they sure as hell will prove it to ya.
