THE HEAVY PRESS INTERVIEWS: PERIPHERY

periphery bus shotINTERVIEW BY: JEANETTE LEBLANC

VIDEOGRAPHY BY: SCOTT CRUICKSHANK

On February 6th, 2015; Periphery’s Juggernaut Tour made it’s stop at the Opera House in Toronto with support from Nothing More, Wovenwar and Thank You Scientist, and Periphery’s Misha Mansoor (guitar) and Adam “Nolly” Getgood (bass) invited us on to their bus to give us an update on everything going on in their busy lives… and to mow on some serious fan made cupcakes.

We learned everything about their brand new two part release Juggernaut: Alpha & Juggernaut: Omega (find Gerrod’s album review here); from the writing process, having it produced by Nolly, time invested in the studio, the emotions each individual release carries, and the theme behind the whole concept.

We learn the one piece of gear that each of them just couldn’t do without (aside from their instruments), and they offer great advice for aspiring musicians who are trying to make it.

We also spoke about Toronto’s significance and part in creating the band to Misha and what it’s like for him to perform at the Opera House… Who knew!

Also check out our interview with Periphery’s Mark Holcomb from their Toronto show in 2013 !
