Canadian Music Week Presents:
On May 9-10th, 2014; Winnipeg’s best in hardcore Comeback Kid’s Die Knowing Tour made it’s way to the MOD Club in Toronto and the London Music Hall in London , with support from fellow Canadian and GTA locals Counterparts, along with Backtrack & The Greenery.
This month-long Canadian tour stretching from Quebec to British Columbia in support of their latest release and one of their strongest to date, Die Knowing (check out Hunter’s album review here) packs a seriously mean punch with each band pushing it to the limit night after night. In return, fans threw themselves through the pit like a swarm of rag-dolls on meth (in a good way?). The crowd was fearless and passionate about everything the stage had to offer.
In Toronto, fans were almost equally supportive of Hamilton hommies Counterparts. The crowd moved in sync with their breakdowns and screamed along to every song. These guys made for a perfect companion alongside record label (Victory Records) mates Comeback Kid.
When the time came for Comeback Kid to hit the stage, fans must have evoked energy from the mosh pit Gods because it was unbelievable to see how much of it remained in the crowd.
Opening up with “Die Knowing” the pit was flooded and fists were proudly pumping in the air.
Comeback Kid put on an unreal performance; from the quality of their sound to the impact of their music. These guys proved themselves as hardcore legends and made Canada proud with this tour.
Comeback Kid’s setlist included: Die Knowing, False Idols Fall, Wasted Arrows, Talk Is Cheap & Wake The Dead.
