On Monday November 18, 2019 Stray From The Path and Varials played an almost sold out show at Sneaky Dee’s in Toronto

First Varials took to the stage. They are an American metalcore band from Philadelphia that formed in 2013. This was the first time they were on tour with Stray from the Path. Lead vocalist Travis Tabron actually has an incredible voice and killed the set.

As they were performing you could see band members from Stray From The Path including guitarist Thomas Williams and bassist Anthony Altamura near the merch table jotting down the evenings set list on to scrap paper. Next lead singer Andrew Dijorio and drummer Craig Reynolds entered the room, both being fan favourites they stopped and posed for photos with fans quickly as they were getting settled in.

Stray From The Path is an American hardcore punk band that formed back in 2001 although current lead singer Andrew joined in 2005. They took to the stage and started off the show with their 2017 hit “The Opening Move” off their previous album Only Death is Real. From beginning to end they really amped up the crowd with their stellar performance. They played “Fortune Teller”, “Kickback” and “Second Death”, which are all off their new and latest album Internal Atomics.

During the show, maybe the 4th song in, Andrew took a tumble off the stage, he paused for a moment, got right back on and continued on with the show although you could see he was in pain from a possible ankle sprain. That didn’t stop him from jumping , bouncing and running across the stage, while getting involved with the crowd and he powered through his performance.

As they got closer to the end of the show Andrew said “ONE MORE, no encore or anything, ONE MORE” in which he began singing “First World Problem Child” off their 2015 album Subliminal Criminals. At the end many fans went on stage grabbing set lists and guitar picks, then Craig threw out drumsticks to the audience. While the band was packing up their gear Craig paused and took photos with almost all the fans who asked, also signed some of the drumsticks that were caught. Such an incredible stage presence and stellar performance from this band, and they all seem like great guys off the stage too.
