Union Events Presents:
On November 9th, 2013; the “Scream It Like You Mean It Tour” made its final stop at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto. This tour brought forth some of the best bands from our good old screamo teen angst days, who to this day, have helped shaped and influence the heavy music scene; Story Of The Year, Silverstein and Hawthorne Heights. With support from; Set It Off, I Am King and locals Sleep When You’re Dead.
The show was absolutely incredible for all who attended. The supporting bands put on amazing performances and managed to warm up the pit for the crazy and mind blowing energy that Story Of The Year had to offer.
Story Of The Year played everything that fans wanted to hear as they celebrated the 10th anniversary of their hit album “Page Avenue“. They also had fans going insane and singing their hearts out when they played a compilation song featuring covers from their friends and bands that they have toured with during their career, including: Yellowcard, Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance and The Used.
There were back flips, stage dives, circle pits in the crowd and on stage, and most of all; their was passion. The passion flowed from the stage throughout the entire venue, you could see and hear it on everyone’s faces and in everyone’s voices as they danced, jumped and sang along to the songs that meant so much to each and every individual.
Story Of The Year sincerely thanked Toronto and all of their fans in general for being so supportive of them over the past decade, in return they offered us another 10 years if we are willing to accept it. Story Of The Year, Silverstein and Hawthorne Heights all proved why they are still on top of their game and still playing such a major role in the industry; these guys truly have it all and deserve the attention and respect that their fans provide.
